Job Summary

At John King Chains USA INC, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing regular quality assessments, inspections, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular quality assessments on incoming materials from suppliers/subcontractors to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Use inspection equipment, including tensile testing, proof testing, chemical analysis, and hardness testing, to verify the quality of materials.
  • Communicate with the Production Supervisor on all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations or deviate from design specifications.
  • Read technical drawings, production plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products to be supplied.
  • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing the relevant paperwork for each process.
  • Educate the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
  • In-process inspection at agreed intervals and Final Inspection as per the Quality Control Plan.
  • Complete SCAR's and CAR's where appropriate when product and process-related non-conformances or opportunities for improvement have been discovered.
  • Work with the Production Supervisor and Process Engineer to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage the quarantine area to ensure non-conforming products are recorded, tagged, and isolated.
  • Maintain housekeeping of Quality Control equipment, tooling, and machinery.
  • Work to and promote ISO 9001:2015, HSE & ATEX standards.
  • Internal Auditing.
  • Keep record of site KPI's and regularly report them to the Production Supervisor.
  • Daily & weekly maintenance of 'Quality' section of SQDCP board.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in interpreting engineering drawings (2D & 3D).
  • Proficient in using a PC (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook).
  • Appreciation of measuring techniques & common units of measure (metric and imperial).
  • Good understanding of using measuring equipment (vernier calipers, tapes, micrometers).
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in Quality Control and Product Inspections.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Manufacturing / Engineering experience.
  • Mechanical or industrial engineering degree.
