About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Transportation Specialist - Bus Operator to join our team at Judson ISD. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students on school routes, program routes, and field trips.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive school buses safely, following all applicable laws and district administrative policies and regulations governing the transportation of students.
  • Check the vehicle before each trip to determine that it is in satisfactory operating condition.
  • Maintain good community relations by establishing proper rapport with all personnel and students.
  • Maintain order and follows district regulations in an emergency situation.
Requirements:
  • A valid Texas Class "B" or "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for school bus driver.
  • A certification as Texas Bus Driver by the Texas Education Agency.
  • A clean driving record as verified by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
  • The ability to complete required bus driver safety training.
  • The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • The ability to communicate effectively.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
