Position Overview
As an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), you will be integral to various projects, leveraging your extensive technical knowledge. Key Responsibilities- Secure Authorization to Operate (ATO) for Palantir software across diverse government clients with minimal supervision.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, policy guidance, and comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret security mandates and devise effective control strategies.
- Transform complex concepts and architectures into clear documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) and architectural diagrams.
- Represent Palantir and provide credible cybersecurity insights during government evaluations and audits.
- Expertise in interpreting and conveying government policies to varied audiences.
- Strong multitasking abilities under pressure, with effective time management and organizational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proven capacity to navigate within stringent government frameworks.
- Familiarity with fundamental information security principles and technologies (e.g., authentication, encryption, firewalls, vulnerability assessments, SIEM/SOAR, audit logs).
- Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret or Top Secret clearance, with a commitment to upgrade and maintain higher access levels.
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity within a U.S. Government context.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to client locations, with a preference for 25% travel capability, subject to location-specific requirements.
