About the Role:

Applied Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Computer Security Systems Specialist to support the development and application of high-assurance computer security systems hardware and software.

This position will contribute to the development of Department of Defense information assurance (IA) systems, requiring expertise in research, design, development, integration, testing, and installation of high-assurance systems hardware, software, and diagnostics equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-assurance computer security systems hardware and software
  • Contribute to the development of Department of Defense information assurance (IA) systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and test high-assurance systems
  • Develop and implement techniques for securing mobile and ad hoc wireless networks
  • Experience with intrusion detection systems and firewalls

Requirements:

  • BS in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience or high school diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • DoD TOP SECRET clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline, and three (3) years or more years of relevant experience
  • PhD in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline
