We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Restoration Specialist to join our team at The Boyd Group in Fresno, CA. As an integral part of our auto body shop, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle assessments and quality repairs.

About the Role

This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail. You will work independently, reading job orders and using various tools to repair vehicles with precision and accuracy. Your tasks may include:

  • Planning and executing repair work to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Using cutting-edge tools and equipment to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition
  • Inspecting and repairing structural damage, including realigning car chassis and frames
  • Removing and replacing damaged sections of vehicles with new or aftermarket parts

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring consistent execution of our WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Preparing cost estimates for customers and planning repair work
  • Realigning car chassis and frames to repair structural damage
  • Removes damaged sections of vehicles and replaces them with new or aftermarket parts
  • Welds and otherwise attaches or fits parts into place

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be expected to perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
  • A thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
  • The ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision

You should also be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present, lift up to 30 pounds at times, visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions, and bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
