About the Opportunity:

Fresno County Department of Public Health invites licensed Occupational Therapists to join its Medical Therapy Program within California Children's Services.

The program provides essential physical therapy, occupational therapy, and medical therapy conference services for children with handicapping conditions due to neurological or musculoskeletal disorders.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Specialist to plan and perform occupational therapy for neurologically and physically impaired clients at our Medical Therapy Unit sites located in local public schools.

The successful candidate will provide rehabilitative therapy to clients who are physically or neurologically disabled by illness, injury, or genetic impairment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct occupational therapy sessions to develop or improve physical skills, restore muscle function, and maintain maximum performance within client capabilities.
  • Enhance Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills and productivity for clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Holds a valid license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • Possesses a valid Class C driver's license, or equivalent.
