Federal Income Tax Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Federal Income Tax Consultant to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our Tax organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the preparation of our consolidated federal income tax return and tax provision.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and review of our consolidated federal tax return, including preparing tax adjustments, tax forms, and gathering necessary data.
- Prepare and calculate federal tax adjustments necessary to complete our income tax provision.
- Identify and gather necessary information and documentation to substantiate and support the tax return and tax provision processes.
- Manage the federal compliance process for various tax types, including insurance, excise, and private foundations.
- Prepare supporting workpapers and ensure proper documentation is obtained and maintained to adequately support the information included on the tax returns upon audit.
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience in the income taxes field.
- Strong working knowledge of federal income taxes.
- Experience with OneSource Income Tax and Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
