Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Ambassador to join our team at the Center for Multicultural Access and Success. As a Student Ambassador, you will play a critical role in supporting the department's mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students and staff with various tasks, including student applications, filing student records, and performing office duties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Assist with creating promotional materials, such as flyers, brochures, and bulletin boards, to promote departmental events and initiatives.
  • Provide front desk coverage and answer phones as needed.
  • Handle documentation and files with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Manager of TRIO Student Support Services and the Secretary, CMAS.
Requirements
  • Must be a Federal Work Study recipient.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Must be enrolled at JJC in at least 6 credit hours.
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, public speaking, and customer service skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
  • Demonstrated multicultural competence.
Working Conditions

The Student Ambassador will work indoors in a typical office environment. Must be available to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-4:30pm, 15-20 hours/week.
