Your Role:

We are excited to offer a position for a Senior Civil Engineer. The successful applicant will oversee both technical aspects and project management responsibilities associated with public infrastructure roadway initiatives. Key responsibilities for this role include creating design plans, drafting technical specifications, and preparing cost estimates for public bidding; mentoring junior staff; managing client and sub-consultant relationships; monitoring project budgets; assigning tasks to team members; and possessing a foundational understanding of survey data collection, land rights, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the capability to guide projects from initial concept through to construction, possessing extensive knowledge of the project development cycle and effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels of experience.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Civil Engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Project management experience is essential
  • P.E. license is preferred
  • Familiarity with MassDOT and City of Boston standards is highly desirable
  • Experience in supervising staff is strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and judgment to identify, analyze, and resolve issues
