Position Summary
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Safety, Certification, and Airworthiness (SCAW) is seeking a senior or principal Electrical Engineering Unit Member (E-UM) / FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) to support various teams.

In this capacity, the selected candidate will engage in FAA compliance activities for CFR 14 Part 25 aircraft as part of the Boeing Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) in the Electrical discipline.

The role encompasses supporting a diverse portfolio of Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) activities across multiple BDS programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of certification planning, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
- Provide expert guidance to programs and engineers within the Electrical Design discipline.
- Mentor and support the development of prospective Engineering Unit members.
- Travel to supplier locations and Boeing sites approximately 25% of the time.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
- FAA DER candidate or Engineering Unit Member in Training at an ODA.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical System Design.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations and Boeing sites.

Preferred qualifications include:
- 10 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active appointment as an FAA DER or Engineering Unit Member in an ODA.
- 9 or more years of experience in Electrical System Design.
- A valid Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.

Education and Experience
Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, along with relevant work experience.

This position may offer relocation based on candidate eligibility.
