About the Role

The Sales Compensation Strategist will serve as the primary point of contact for all sales commission activities, supporting the SportsEngine Go-to-Market teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with key leaders, develop, modify, and implement sales compensation structures and incentive programs that align with company goals.
  • Analyze sales performance data and compensation metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee sales compensation management systems and related reporting, ensuring accurate calculations, reporting clarity, and timely distribution of commissions, bonuses/SPIFs, and sales contest payouts.
  • Work with HR and Legal teams to ensure compensation plans comply with legal requirements and maintain policies and procedures documentation.
  • Issue and track all commission-related documents to commissionable employees and managers; maintain all relevant commission plan templates and executed agreements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales compensation/commission models, data analytics, data visualization, or data aggregation, preferably in the SAAS industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting Sales Compensation plans and commission structures.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and advanced analytical functionality.
  • Experience collaborating with Human Resources, Legal, and Payroll teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Results-driven, highly organized, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Best-in-class data skills, including SQL, Excel, dataset manipulation, and data visualization.
  • Experience with CaptivateIQ and/or DocuSign is a plus.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
