Job Overview

QSAC, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in New York City and Long Island, is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and supervision to individuals with autism, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment that fosters growth and independence.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $19.24 - $20.20 per hour, providing a competitive compensation package. Our benefits go beyond health and retirement, offering a supportive community of professionals who share our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment, recognizing crisis situations and utilizing appropriate psychiatric and medical backup services.
  • Schedule staff at the residence, coordinate shopping and meal distribution, and maintain client personal allowance accounts.
  • Ensure program goals are implemented by Direct Support Professionals and provide hands-on supervision of individuals with Autism.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; 1-2 years of OPWDD experience preferred.
  • AMAP, First Aid, CPR, and SCIP-R certifications required or aptitude to obtain upon hire.
  • Demonstrate patience, ability to learn, and utilize systematic procedures to enhance individual independence and quality of life.
  • Experience working with Intellectual Developmental Disabled (I/DD) populations and maintaining a clean, valid Driver's License.
