Senior Sales Manager

About the Role
BYD North America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth in the EV truck segment, working closely with our customers to understand their needs and develop strategic sales plans to meet their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand existing sales relationships and develop new business opportunities in the EV truck segment
- Execute sales plans to maximize profitability and service levels throughout the segment
- Review and complete RFPs as required for both new and existing customers
- Deliver sales presentations to a range of prospective customers
- Make recommendations to the production team in consideration with customer requirements
- Ensure customer product requirements are effectively communicated to BYD engineering and aligned with third-party upfitters
- Participate in relevant trade shows to represent BYD
- Analyze the EV market to develop strategic initiatives
- Prepare relevant sales reports as required
- Manage segment-relevant meetings with respective associations
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Business to Business (B2B) Sales
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Prior work experience in commercial truck or EV sales is preferred
- Prior work experience in FMC, Refuse, TaaS, Logistics, Food & Beverage, Upfitter segments is preferred
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
- Experience communicating with customers verbally to convey information and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Ability to travel to various states within the U.S. to meet with customers and participate in trade shows
