Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures to create high-quality images of the body's internal structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for MRI exams, explaining the procedure and administering contrast when necessary.
- Position patients for the MRI scanner and select appropriate imaging techniques to ensure technical quality of the scan.
- Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix camera, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
- Take emergency calls within the department, providing prompt and effective support.
- Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards.
- Promote individual professional growth and development, meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
- Support department-based goals, contributing to the success of the organization.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or Registered Radiological Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) and Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
