About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate RN Student Nurse Extern PRN to join our team at Parham Doctors' Hospital. As a Nurse Extern PRN, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist with providing patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, and ambulating patients
- Obtain and record patient information, including initial and ongoing assessments
- Translate complex medical terminology to ensure patients and families understand their medical condition, treatment plan, and medications
- Provide education to patients and families on healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing
- Ability to create and implement a personal career development plan
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
