Job Summary:
NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our patients. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform prescription refills and medication prior authorizations following designated protocols.
• Work under the direction of the Physician (MD) and Registered Nursing (RN) to ensure accurate and timely medication administration.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements:
• Minimum high school education or equivalent.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current certification as Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience with an EMR preferred.
