Job Summary:

As a Medication Technician at Northshore, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team by performing prescription refills and medication prior authorizations. Reporting to the assigned Clinical Supervisor, you will work under the direction of the Physician (MD) and Registered Nursing (RN) to ensure accurate and timely medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform prescription refills and medication prior authorizations following designated protocols
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure accurate and timely medication management
Maintain accurate records of medication refills and authorizations
Provide excellent customer service to patients and families

Requirements:

Minimum high school education or equivalent
Experience as a Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Current certification as Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician or Licensed Practical Nurse
Current CPR certification
Experience with an EMR preferred
