Environmental Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at Air Products. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for coordinating environmental compliance activities for our facilities in Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve environmental compliance programs across all media (air, water, waste, and drinking water) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
- Develop and maintain environmental compliance tools, monitoring, sampling, and testing programs to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and permit limits.
- Direct and train facility personnel in environmental compliance permit and regulatory requirements and tools for compliance.
- Prepare and maintain waste profiles for assigned facilities and secure approvals from waste disposal facilities.
- Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports to local, state, and federal agencies for assigned facilities.
- Prepare and submit permit applications and conduct permit negotiations with regulatory agencies for assigned facilities.
- Conduct environmental regulatory assessments of plant and capital projects to define and secure environmental approvals.
- Monitor agency rulemaking and analyze emerging regulations to determine impact on plant operations.
- Maintain and improve compliance assurance tools and overall effectiveness of compliance performance for assigned facilities.
- Participate in company-wide work groups and improvement teams as assigned.
Requirements:
- Approximately 5-7 years of environmental regulatory compliance knowledge and experience in all media.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably chemical engineering.
- Title V air permit experience is required.
- Valid Drivers' License and good driving record required.
