Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Analyst

A growing logistics company is seeking a dynamic and highly analytical FP&A Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial planning and decision-making processes, you will play a crucial role in providing valuable insight into our financial status and supporting strategic business decisions through detailed financial modeling and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive financial models to support decision making related to complex business issues including valuation, profitability, forecasting, and potential investments.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales trends to identify opportunities for revenue growth and areas of potential cost savings.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including the creation of budgets, analysis of results, and preparation of financial forecasts.
  • Analyze monthly financial results and provide commentary on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, ensuring accuracy and relevance in financial reports.
  • Use SQL and Excel to manipulate and interpret large volumes of data, providing actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Collaborate with the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
  • Experience in analyzing sales trends and conducting revenue and expense analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to apply data in providing insights and making business decisions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear and concise terms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
