Job Title: Finance Senior Manager

Amgen is seeking a highly skilled Finance Senior Manager to join our team in North Carolina. As a key member of our Manufacturing Finance team, you will play a critical role in setting up, planning, and analyzing financial results for our manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans for the facility, driving continuous improvements and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Operations Finance teams to plan and deliver financial results for the new North Carolina Drug Substance facility.
  • Manage capital expenditures during the construction phase of the facility, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Lead the annual standard cost development process for the areas of Operations supported by your team.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to senior leaders, including the Vice President, Operations Finance.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of Finance experience, or Master's degree and 4 years of Finance experience, or Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Finance experience, or Associate's degree and 10 years of Finance experience, or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Finance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business and/or MBA degree.
  • Certified public accountant or past experience working in accounting, with preference for experience in cost accounting and/or manufacturing finance.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders of an organization as an FP&A business partner or in some other advisory capacity.
  • Managerial experience, including hiring and staff performance management.
  • Experience in preparing executive communication, including written and oral presentations.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to identify and tackle vaguely defined problems.
  • Ability to influence at all levels with a customer service mentality.
