Mainframe Operations Support Developer

Infosys is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Operations Support Developer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for installing, setting up, operating, and maintaining mainframe infrastructure across pre-production and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure mainframe infrastructure, including creation of deployment plans and operational procedures
  • Monitor and support mainframe infrastructure, ensuring high availability and timely resolution of issues
  • Collaborate with business and development teams to deliver high-quality code deliverables and installation scripts
  • Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a relevant field
  • At least 4 years of experience in maintaining mainframe infrastructure, mid-range servers, and operating systems
  • 3+ years of experience in Solaris, RHEL Server Administration, and Tier 1 & Tier 2 End user support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in PL/1, Assembler, and IBM z/OS operating system software
  • Experience with configuration of network, backup, journaling, security, and disaster recovery
  • Ability to design and optimize mainframe databases and develop and execute test plans for changes
