Mainframe Operations Support Developer

Infosys is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Operations Support Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Mainframe (PL/1, C370 based) Infrastructure, Mid-range, Server Administration and maintenance. This role will involve interfacing with key stakeholders and applying technical proficiency to install, setup, operate and maintain mainframe infrastructure across pre-production and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Creation of deployment plans, operational procedures, monitoring and support; enabling high infrastructure availability; supporting Business and development teams with timely resolutions of issues; delivering high quality code deliverables, installation scripts, leading validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty.

Requirements:

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations. A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Plan, install, configure, customize and monitor IBM z/OS operating system software and various other IBM software including but not limited to CICS, DB2, IMS. Proficiency in PL/1 Assembler. Installation and configuration of IBM z/OS and related HW. Configuration of network, backup, journaling, security, disaster recovery.
