Key Responsibilities:
As an Automotive Service Technician at Plaza Tire Service, you will engage in hands-on tasks on customer vehicles daily and guide other shop staff.
Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks such as:- Brake services
- Suspension repairs
- Wheel alignments
- Front-end component replacements
- Preventive maintenance tasks
- Tire repair and replacement
- Oil changes
- And additional automotive services
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic is required
- Must possess a current and valid Driver's License
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
The Automotive Service Technician will encounter moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous substances.
The temperature in the work environment may vary and could include extreme heat and/or cold depending on outside conditions.
The use of safety goggles or other personal protective equipment may be necessary in these situations.The Automotive Service Technician must be able to meet the following physical requirements:
- Stand for up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle, or manipulate objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, and lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Communicate effectively with customers and shop personnel
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
