Program Coordinator for Asia Pacific Museum Exchange Project

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to support the Asia Pacific Museum Exchange Project at the University of Hawaii. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the successful implementation of our programs.

About the Position

This is a part-time, temporary position with an estimated 11-month monthly salary of $2335.50. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the program, including workflow management, email marketing, and communications materials creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create timelines and oversee project workflows to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with the CSEAS Associate Director and staff to build email lists and facilitate virtual workshops using Zoom.
  • Develop publicity and communications materials, as well as web content to promote the program.
  • Assist with backward planning for face-to-face workshops, including logistics coordination and participant management.
  • Plan and coordinate both face-to-face and virtual workshops, including speaker confirmation, travel arrangements, and networking events.
  • Work with the CSEAS Associate Director and fiscal specialist to manage invoices and process documents.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A classified, full-time UHM graduate student status with a Master's degree in the arts, humanities, social sciences, education, education technology, or museum studies.
  • Proficiency in Mac operating system or software applications for Mac Office.
  • Familiarity with WordPress or Wix (or similar publishing platforms).
  • Excellent written English skills.
  • Competency in database and spreadsheet management.
  • Previous experience with social media platforms.
  • Previous professional work experience requiring attention to detail and minimal supervision in a team environment.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience managing Zoom webinars.
  • Skills in designing and developing web-based learning activities, including video and audio editing.
  • Museum-related experience (curation, collections, or other) or adjacent public engagement activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Professional, Adobe Creative, and Google Workspace applications.
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance regulations.
