Role Summary: The Quality Control Laboratory Specialist plays a crucial role in collaborating with various Quality departments, providing essential resources and support, and ensuring the seamless operation of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct metallurgical assessments to analyze the microstructure and case depth of heat-treated materials
  • Oversee laboratory operations to ensure all testing is completed within a 24-hour timeframe
  • Verify the accuracy of data in the laboratory management system
  • Prepare detailed and accurate certificates for heat treatment processes
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments
  • Calibrate testing equipment as necessary
  • Manage and replenish laboratory supplies
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation for shipping
  • Maintain an organized archive of test pins and dispose of outdated samples promptly
  • Supervise the Mechanical area to guarantee timely evaluations of all lab samples
  • Ensure daily accuracy of all outsourced mechanical testing
  • Facilitate the transfer of items between different work centers
  • Assist in generating and investigating Non-Conformance reports
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet deadlines and ensure effective communication
  • Engage with external clients as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment

Minimum Qualifications:

All candidates must successfully pass a 9-panel hair follicle drug test and background screening.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a laboratory or heat treatment setting is advantageous.
