Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented agronomy sales professional who will be responsible for delivering sales and services to agricultural producers within a designated region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct sales visits across assigned territories to assess agronomy requirements, devise solutions, and cultivate enduring relationships with clients to drive sales of seeds, fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, and agronomy services.
  • Organize and execute test plots on farms to showcase enhanced varieties of crops, such as corn and soybeans, as a strategic sales tool.
  • Maintain an updated database of clients and prospects, evaluating them based on operational scale, creditworthiness, and other relevant marketing insights.
  • Stay informed about agronomic products, industry trends, challenges, services, and resources to ethically promote agronomy offerings.
  • Advise and sell products and programs to producers in accordance with company credit and pricing policies.
  • Provide timely updates to management regarding competitive sales, pricing, and marketing intelligence.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding sold or prepaid products and any issues related to products, programs, or producers. Ensure that requested sales contracts and other relevant information are relayed to management.
Compensation Structure:
  • Salary: $55,000 - $80,000/year plus commission opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with two to four years of relevant experience; or an Agricultural Associate's degree with four to five years of related experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are required. Certification as a Crop Advisor (CCA) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Skills and Abilities: This role necessitates regular travel within the assigned territory, with minimal overnight travel required.
