Job Summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Sales Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Sales Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all functions and duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the pharmacy department.
• Enter prescription information into the computer system, including patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation, and insurance billing.
• Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions.
• Retrieve medication from inventory and create prescription labels and place medication into prescription containers.
• Assist with maintaining the pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.
• Assist in inventory management processes, including order review, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, you must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus 600 practical hours working in retail and/or pharmacy operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
