Position Overview: The CHRIS 180 Migrant Wellness Program provides comprehensive care for unaccompanied minors under the supervision of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, who are accommodated in residential settings while awaiting sponsorship. This initiative emphasizes stabilization, behavioral support, thorough case management, educational assistance, daily living skills development, recreational and therapeutic activities, and care coordination. It employs a family-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to care within residential communities in Atlanta. This position entails direct interactions to assess and enhance the psychological and physical health of the individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct nursing evaluations for youth in residential and clinical settings
  • Facilitate health education sessions for residents and staff
  • Oversee and replenish first aid supplies and medications
  • Assess documentation compliance of direct care personnel
  • Advise on medical issues and concerns
  • Provide on-site medical services as required
  • Maintain accurate medication records and oversee administration
  • Coordinate medication-related procedures
  • Administer and monitor drug screenings
  • Ensure precise patient documentation
  • Participate in Treatment Team Meetings
  • Assist with billing processes and physician consultations
  • Manage medical staff training and education
  • Be available for health consultations
  • Report any suspicions of abuse or neglect
  • Adhere to policies and procedures compliance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Registered Nurse with an active Georgia License
  • Experience in mental health/substance abuse preferred
  • Knowledge and skills pertinent to patient demographics
  • Proficient in basic computer operations
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Capacity to build rapport with patients while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Ethical conduct and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Effective time management and adaptability
  • Sound judgment and advocacy for patients
  • Understanding of mental health, addiction, nutrition, wellness, and medication
  • Familiarity with referral resources

Compensation: $75,000.00 annually & Benefits:
