Senior Nuclear Security Expert for International Capacity-Building

The General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nuclear Security Expert to join their team as a Program Advisor for the FIRST program. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-priority projects that focus on addressing pressing nuclear security, proliferation, safety, and sovereignty challenges posed by aggressive civil nuclear reactor exports.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated prior experience working on USG international nonproliferation, nuclear energy, scientific, or other WMD nonproliferation programs. They will be responsible for developing and implementing country-specific, time-sensitive, and complex capacity-building projects and strategies in partnership with host government officials and in coordination with the interagency.
The successful candidate will also manage complex and sensitive relationships with interagency partners such as the U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Commerce Department, Department of Defense, and State Department partners from country desks, embassies, and within the ISN Bureau in a manner that advances CTR's programmatic goals and directs complementary capabilities in a whole-of-U.S.-nuclear-sector effort to address these threats.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, the candidate must possess a strong background in nuclear security, nonproliferation, and international relations. They should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, diplomacy, teamwork, and project management skills. Additionally, they should be able to receive and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and have a strong understanding of the international security environment.

Estimated Salary Range
$102,000 - $138,000 per year.
