About the Role

The Nuclear Expert Consultant will play a key role in developing new nuclear fuel cycle technologies by guiding the design, evaluation, and management of government and private sector-sponsored Research and Development (R&D) programs. This position requires expertise in nuclear science and engineering, with a strong understanding of cutting-edge technologies and their applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement R&D programs focused on nuclear fuel cycle technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage rapidly maturing technology from other sectors
  • Analyze and evaluate emerging nuclear technology needs for clients
  • Conduct technical research and provide insights to inform client decisions

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctorate degree in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Science, or Radiochemistry
  • At least 5 years of experience in authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research pertaining to nuclear science or engineering
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes a salary range of $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 per year, based on location and experience. In addition, we provide excellent benefits, including health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development opportunities, and dependent care support.
