About the Role

Creative Financial Staffing is partnering with a local Real Estate organization to find a skilled Residential Property Accountant to join their team. The primary function of this role is to provide day-to-day accounting functions for their portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for multiple residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analysis for residential properties
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date monthly work papers
  • Prepare work papers and analyses required for annual audit processes
  • Prepare work papers and analyses required for income tax and sales tax filings
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Interact with operations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable groups as needed
  • Record monthly journal entries
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, with 1+ year of experience in real estate accounting preferred
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with real estate accounting software
Location and Compensation

This is a full-time onsite position in Stamford, CT, with a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.
