The primary function of this role is to provide day-to-day accounting functions for their portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for multiple residential properties.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analysis for residential properties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date monthly work papers
- Prepare work papers and analyses required for annual audit processes
- Prepare work papers and analyses required for income tax and sales tax filings
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
- Interact with operations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable groups as needed
- Record monthly journal entries
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with 1+ year of experience in real estate accounting preferred
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with real estate accounting software
This is a full-time onsite position in Stamford, CT, with a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.
