Technical Support Specialist

This role entails the setup and installation of computing devices and printers, assisting with IT asset procurement and inventory oversight, organizing special event setups and breakdowns, along with various other assigned projects. This is a remarkable entry-level opportunity for individuals possessing a solid grasp of computer systems and a keen interest in enterprise information technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to established protocols for laptop configuration, which includes standard build imaging, baseline software installation, and final quality assurance testing.
- Document and update requests within tracking systems.
- Oversee the inventory and lifecycle management of IT assets.
- Supervise the decommissioning process for retired equipment.
- Assist in the installation of computer peripherals.
- Coordinate equipment deployment and relocation as part of onboarding processes and office transitions.
- Engage with vendors for the repair of laptops, desktops, and printers.
- Manage telephone extensions and handsets effectively.
- Ensure proper functioning of AV and conferencing equipment, coordinating repairs with vendors as necessary.
- Collaborate with vendors to procure standard hardware and monitor inventory levels.
- Participate in additional projects as required.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in supporting both Mac and PC operating systems and hardware in a professional environment.
- Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
- Capability to independently identify and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
