Job Summary

Geisinger Health System seeks a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to perform a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the operation of all equipment within the modality and possess excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment within the modality, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform examinations.
  • Assist physicians with various procedures and report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain related records and notations, and participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Assist in the educational training of students and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
