We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Specialist to join our Excess Casualty, Corporate Accounts team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling complex underwriting and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of achieving goals and outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Successfully balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and make sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, judgment, and a risk mindset
  • Build effective relationships with brokers and deliver a high standard of customer service
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning while mentoring and developing colleagues
  • Play a key role in new business development, including attending broker events and building new relationships across the market
Requirements
  • Proven underwriting experience in Excess Casualty with a successful record of selling Environmental, Excess or Primary Casualty, NA Auto, WC, AL, GL, DBA, Foreign Casualty products to clients
  • Deep technical underwriting expertise
  • The ability to analyze financial statements
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Customer and sales-orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable
