Job Summary
The Employment Services Team Leader plays a vital role in the management of NH's employment and training initiatives. Reporting to the Economic Opportunity Program Director, this position is primarily responsible for supervising staff, overseeing the evaluation and analysis of career services, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for program participants. NH's career services encompass career counseling, job seeker skill enhancement, and access to various support services and training resources.
This role involves assisting in the planning, design, and execution of programs funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and the Workforce Development Council of Seattle, King County. The Team Leader will collaborate closely with NH's economic opportunity team to facilitate service integration and provide clients with appropriate access to NH's comprehensive suite of programs. The position is primarily based in Tukwila, with flexibility to work across various locations.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervision (50%)
- Oversee a direct service team, ensuring compliance with NH and funder guidelines.
- Provide constructive oversight and coaching to staff to achieve program objectives and enhance service delivery.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide motivational feedback to team members.
- Monitor team resources and expenses to maintain program budgets.
- Coordinate training sessions based on staff needs and program requirements.
- Be available to staff for support and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with program leadership to develop and maintain documentation systems for tracking administrative requirements.
- Evaluate program quality and client services, making necessary adjustments to optimize client outcomes.
- Engage in leadership opportunities and represent NH's collaborative approach to community support.
- Stay informed about best practices in the field and communicate potential program enhancements to leadership.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the completion of key project documents, including reports and evaluations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least four years of professional experience in case management, employment services, adult education, or related social service programs.
- One year of experience in a supervisory or coordinating role.
- Proven ability to lead teams while adhering to complex regulations and managing detailed documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on constructive feedback.
- Commitment to equity and inclusion in a culturally diverse workplace.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership to enhance operational efficiency.
- Proficient in key computer applications (MS Office Suite).
- Reliable transportation is required.
- This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence at designated locations.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
- Must pass background check requirements.
- Position requires bi-annual criminal background re-check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates within 30 days of hire.
- Completion of Sexual Harassment and Child Abuse and Neglect training within specified timeframes.
