Laboratory Analyst

Position Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician to support our analytical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise preparation of samples in accordance with SGS's established analytical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
The Laboratory Technician will:
- Independently prepare samples for analysis following SGS's analytical SOPs, utilizing basic instrumentation relevant to the department and analytical techniques.
- Conduct routine operations, maintenance, and calibration of preparation instruments and equipment.
- Assist with validation processes and Method Detection Limit (MDL) studies as needed.
- Input and maintain necessary technical information to support laboratory functions and operations.
- Keep a detailed Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures consistently.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Work Environment
The Laboratory Technician will work both independently and collaboratively to achieve daily production goals while ensuring compliance with hold times and turnaround times. A commitment to safe laboratory practices and maintaining a secure working environment is essential.
