Job Summary

Hitachi ASTEMO Americas, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electronics Lead Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced electronics structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement development masterplans aligned with the company's corporate business objectives.
  • Perform experiments, analyze data, and create new techniques and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software-defined mobility solutions.
  • Create technical documentation, design specifications, and best practices guides.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Represent the company with major customers and the public.
  • Provide direction on design and development activities to improve, modify, or design new products.
  • Direct research and development, quality control, and product modification and improvement activities.
  • Oversee the review of product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Travel to customer locations to support product development and testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related area required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years prior related experience with Master's degree and Minimum 7 years with Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of development or industry experience in ADAS is required.
  • Minimum one of mass production development experience in ADAS or EMS is required.
  • Exposure to Automotive engineering is required, including knowledge of automotive components and expected qualities, and lessons and learns about mass production.
Working Conditions

Primarily in a professional business office with exposure to testing areas and periodic exposure to manufacturing environments.
