Job Summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Physician Assistant, you will provide primary and specialty medical care to patients, working within the limits of your training and privileges granted by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of Physician Assistant services, including routine, acute, and chronic care, as well as minor trauma treatment.
  • Diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated, and refer complex cases to qualified medical personnel.
  • Prescribe by approved treatment protocols and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee-approved medications and immunizations.
  • Perform specific diagnostic and therapeutic practices and procedures by the scope of practice.
  • Establish collaborative rapport with physicians, nursing, and others to promote and facilitate primary care services.
  • Teach patients and family members healthy regimens and responsibility for achieving wellness.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA).
  • 24 months of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 36 months.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant as required in the TO.
