Position Overview
The Respiratory Therapist plays a critical role in providing respiratory care services to patients of all ages. This includes invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, aerosol medication administration, chest physical therapy, routine and advanced oxygen therapy, blood gas acquisition and analysis, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiogram acquisition and management, code blue and rapid response participation, neonatal resuscitation support at high-risk infant deliveries, ventilator patient transport, and respiratory-focused patient teaching.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, preferably
- An Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, required
- Registration as a Respiratory Therapist, required
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure, required
- Basic Life Support certification, required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification, required within 1 year of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification, required within 1 year of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, required within 1 year of hire
Work Schedule
This position requires a 7:00pm-7:00am work schedule.
Weekend and Call Requirements
This role does not require weekend work, but does require call coverage.
