About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Water Resources Engineer to join our Water Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and project management of water resources projects, including stormwater, roadway, and utility design, as well as hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and project management of water resources projects, including stormwater, roadway, and utility design, as well as hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design methods.
  • Manage multiple projects with multiple faceted designs, including stormwater, roadway, and utility design, complex hydrologic and hydraulic project designs and analyses.
  • Provide technical oversight to junior staff and work collaboratively with other departments to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and in developing and performing client presentations.
  • Use or have a working knowledge of CADD software like Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microstation, as well as GIS experience associated with water resources, storm sewer analysis.
  • Independently make sound preliminary engineering decisions, develop design plans, write design specifications, and prepare technical reports.
Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred.
  • Good technical writing, computer, and communications skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including budget, schedule, and deliverable performance.
  • Demonstrated experience working with FDOT, municipalities, water management districts, and other water agencies.
  • P.E. license is required.
