Speech-Language Pathologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in our well-established school district.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each student's unique communication needs.
  3. Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, employing evidence-based practices.
  4. Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social development.
  5. Monitor students' progress and adapt intervention strategies as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in compliance with state regulations and school district policies.
  7. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  8. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Vermont.
  3. Certification from the Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools (or eligibility for certification).
  4. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain.
  5. Strong understanding of educational policies, procedures, and regulations related to special education services.
  6. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  7. Preferred experience working with students in educational settings.
