Physical Therapist Assistant Home Health Per Diem

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes. Your expertise will enable patients to regain their independence and improve their overall well-being.
- Develop and implement physical therapy treatment plans in collaboration with physical therapists.
- Administer various physical therapy modalities, including manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and electrical modalities, to patients.
- Accurately document patient progress and submit clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
- Participate in educational meetings and contribute to departmental in-services to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Notify physical therapists or the Executive Director of any equipment failures, supply shortages, or staff/client changes.
- Schedule clients and perform various administrative tasks to ensure seamless operations.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions when performing patient care activities.
- Accept clinical assignments that align with your education and competence to provide quality patient care.
- Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and assistance as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association.
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Proof of current CPR certification.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social, and biological changes that occur in the geriatric population.
- Self-directed, enthusiastic, and accepts constructive feedback.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
- Communicates and demonstrates a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
- Meets mandatory continuing education requirements of CenterWell Home Health and licensing board.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Maintains current licensure certifications and meets mandatory continuing education requirements.
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Must have good and regular attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $51,800 - $71,200 per year, reflecting a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. Benefits for limited-term, variable schedule, and per diem associates include paid time off, 401(k) retirement savings plan, employee assistance program, business travel, and accident insurance.
