Physical Therapist Assistant

Key Responsibilities:- Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
- Administer various therapeutic exercises, modalities, and treatments to patients, promoting optimal recovery and well-being.
- Accurately document patient progress and submit clinical paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring seamless communication with our care teams.
- Participate in educational meetings and contribute to departmental in-services, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Notify Physical Therapists or Executive Directors of any equipment failures, supply shortages, or staff/client changes, ensuring our patients receive uninterrupted care.
- Schedule clients and perform various administrative tasks, streamlining our operations and enhancing patient satisfaction.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions principles in patient care activities, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Accept clinical assignments that align with your education and competence, ensuring you're challenged and engaged in your role.
- Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and assistance, ensuring our patients receive the care they need.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program.
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Proof of current CPR certification.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric population changes and needs.
- Self-directed, enthusiastic, and open to constructive feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional image and attitude when interacting with patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
- Maintain clinical competency and adhere to mandatory continuing education requirements.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Maintain current licensure certifications and meet mandatory continuing education requirements.
- Fluent English language skills, with excellent reading, writing, and speaking abilities.
- Good and regular attendance.
