Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our team at White Plains Hospital. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and special procedure imaging, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting radiologists as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients correctly for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol.
  • Assume responsibilities for designated areas and/or procedures and produce good technical images, reviewing completed scans for quality, completeness for the type of test ordered.
  • Assist physicians during procedures as necessary, perform quality assurance and calibrations as needed, and maintain the cleanliness of all areas, equipment, and accessories.
  • Print patient CDs if needed, perform routine office duties, such as answering phones, checking previous reports/films, and documents information on patients' requests.
  • Notify front desk staff upon exam completion, show radiologists images and call reports to attending physicians, and document communication if necessary.
Requirements
  • Must graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program and be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must be able to speak, write, understand, and communicate the English language.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside all of the MRI zones to access coils, patients, and paperwork.

The MRI Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent communication with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent patient care.
