Job Description

The CTI Data Services group is the leading organization in defining and implementing the firm-wide data strategy for the future. It is responsible for designing and delivering foundational data capabilities that cover a wide range of technologies, such as data modeling, data cataloging, data lineage and tracing, data security, and document management.

This position is a senior-level role responsible for implementing a cutting-edge data model platform APIs and services to support data modeling, lineage tracing, data distributing, and persisting through a metadata-driven data architecture framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a core group of software developers to design and implement:
    • Data model authoring tools, including diagram-based tools and descriptive language-based tools.
    • A global data model repository to enable firm-wide data models sharing, with functions including store, update, distribute, and release control.
    • The interface between data models and developers, including exporting data models to different programming languages for use in applications.
    • An enterprise data exchange system to allow users to request data objects based on predefined logical metadata models with lineage maps, without being bound to physical implementation details.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of software development experience, with in-depth knowledge of modern application architecture.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages, with expert-level skills in Java.
  • 5+ years of working experience in the finance industry, with in-depth knowledge of its complexities.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data modeling and data architecture.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in SQL/NOSQL databases.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple project activities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ability to lead a team of developers and interact with senior stakeholders.
  • A thought and hands-on leader, with creative thinking skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, with a Master's degree preferred.
