Description

The position involves performing intermediate technical tasks related to the upkeep and organization of intricate financial documentation, alongside other duties as assigned. The role operates under the limited oversight of the Recreation Administrative Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluates financial data and generates reports for governmental agencies.
  • Executes various computerized reports and financial statements.
  • Records transactions in general ledger accounts and verifies balances.
  • Reconciles and uploads monthly billing transfers to the financial system; prepares monthly invoices for various services to City Departments and uploads them accordingly.
  • Confirms financial information and compiles statistical and accounting data as requested.
  • Supports other departments by providing insights on financial issues.
  • Processes a range of monthly invoices and bills.
  • Contributes to the budget formulation process.
  • Assists a financial officer with various fiscal responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED with moderate experience in accounting-related functions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of general office procedures and technology; proficient in standard office practices, business grammar, mathematics, and departmental policies; skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications and position-specific software; capable of managing a diverse range of accounting and financial tasks; strong analytical and financial skills are essential; ability to foster effective working relationships with supervisors and colleagues.

Physical Requirements: Thorough knowledge of general office procedures and technology; adept in standard office methods, business grammar, mathematics, and departmental programs, policies, and procedures; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and position-specific software; ability to manage a wide range of accounting and financial duties; strong analytical, methodical, and financial skills required; ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.
