Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health care to our nation's Veterans.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to Veterans, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the highest level of care for our Veterans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in psychiatric care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and services.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a psychiatric residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Board certification in psychiatry or eligibility for board certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
