Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and plan individualized care for patients in the labor and delivery unit, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
  • Develop and implement nursing plans of care, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional, and educational needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure in Washington and Oregon.
  • At least 9 months of recent RN experience in labor and delivery or a related field.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 4 months of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification at hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in labor and delivery or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Previous experience in medical-surgical nursing or a related field.
Work Environment:

This is a part-time position with a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center in Clackamas, Oregon.
