Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer I - E&U to join our Chapel Hill office. As a key member of our team, you will help us deliver high-performance, innovative, and holistic engineering solutions that balance optimum reliability, environmental considerations, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, calculate equipment sizes, select equipment, complete field surveys, and review equipment shop drawings.
- Lead mechanical project teams, write specifications, participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and support construction-phase work.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and mentor designers to achieve project goals.
- BSME/BSAE from an ABET-accredited school.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Non-academic internship experience.
- Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.
- EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
- Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
