Mechanical Engineer I

A Mechanical Engineer I - Energy and Utility Systems at Affiliated Engineers, Inc. will play a key role in empowering clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions and create a better, greener future for all. As a member of our team, you will work with experienced engineers and help to mentor designers in performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, calculating equipment sizes, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and reviewing equipment shop drawings. With time, you will take on a greater role in leading mechanical project teams, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction-phase work.
What We're Looking For:
A successful Mechanical Engineer I - Energy and Utility Systems will have a BSME/BSAE from an ABET accredited school, a minimum GPA of 2.5, and non-academic internship experience. Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations is preferred, as is EIT certification and internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field. Strong spoken and written communications skills, excellent organization and time management skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks are also essential. Additionally, you will be able to effectively work individually and within team environments.
